The only place that you can see names (rather than numbers) for the EasyCare wraps is here and at sjalar.nu - why is that? Were the names created here or at the sjalar.nu website because the numbers are too confusing/hard to remember?

It´s Ulla at sjalar.nu that has named the different models.
I think it´s nice. Says a lot more about the colour and the "feeling" of the wrap than a number.

What is that supposed to mean? Is it a place maybe?

The taiga (a word of Russian origin) is the the northernmost part of the boreal forests, immedeately south of the tundra. It's a band of (sub-)arctic forests stretching around the world through Sibiria, northern Scadinavia and northern Canada.
